Known to the world as Amax Incorporated, we’re thrilled to announce the unveiling our new corporate name — Goods iQ — as part of a larger initiative to better align our company’s mission and its corporate identity. “We create smart, insightful products that are built by exceptional people and provide thoughtful collaboration to support the growth of our global distribution partners,” said Joseph DeRita, Vice President of Marketing and Channel Management at Goods iQ. “We wanted to ensure that our brand not only captured that work but reflected the spirit of our company’s progressive culture.”

As a local company in our nation’s smallest state, we’re pleased to stay a part of Rhode Island’s community for years to come with the relocation of our new headquarters. The new Goods iQ Corporate Headquarters and Innovation Center is located in the Quonset Point Industrial Park in North Kingstown, RI.  The innovative interior was designed by Rouba Haykal and Lauren Ecker of Interior Architects of Boston, and built in collaboration with Quonset Development Corporation and Bob Carr.  The space is designed to provide an immersive collaborative environment for new product innovation and to support the incubation of new ideas and brands.

“Over the last decade, we’ve been fortunate to watch our company grow exponentially both organically and through strategic acquisitions,” said Gary Blanchette, President at Goods iQ. “We needed a new space and identity that reflected the evolution our company has undergone through the years and would support us in our future endeavors to drive expansion and attract elite talent.”

Some of the outstanding features in the new headquarters include a gas fireplace, stainless steel energy-efficient appliances, sit-stand desks and LED track lighting among many others. With an employee gathering area that includes several different styles of seating, we’ve made it a point for the company as a whole to interact on a higher level. Whether it’s sitting down for lunch, a meeting or a competitive ping pong match, our employees can enjoy each other’s company in a luxurious kitchen-esque area.

Each meeting room boasts a futuristic feel with glass walls and wireless TVs, with some of the TVs being built right into the walls. To let our employees have the utmost creative freedom, many of our walls are writable so brainstorming can happen in virtually any part of the office. A lounge area with chairs that will make you feel right at home can be found in each department of the company.

With the ever-changing seasons and weather of New England, a breezy quad can be located in the middle of the building for those who like to enjoy the outdoors. Our parking lot is also walking distance to the Quonset Bike Path that extends 2.5 miles to the Calf Pasture Point nature area in North Kingstown. Walk breaks are highly encouraged to keep the blood and ideas flowing for all our employees, and the scenic views are just an added bonus.

Featuring an open concept and an open-door policy, the new Goods iQ headquarters is home to a bustling, creative, and innovative office and team.
